Connecting Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT, or Admire
If your organization maintains a separate constituent database, LevCharity can sync donor records and transactions directly to Salesforce, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, or Admire. This eliminates manual data re-entry and keeps both systems in sync.
Requirements
- Your LevCharity plan must be Growth or above.
- You'll need admin credentials for the external CRM to complete the OAuth or API key connection.
Setting Up the Integration
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find your CRM (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT, or Admire) and click Connect.
- Follow the authentication steps — for Salesforce, this opens an OAuth login. For Raiser's Edge NXT and Admire, you'll enter API credentials provided by those platforms.
- Once connected, configure the field mapping — which LevCharity fields map to which fields in your external CRM.
- Choose your sync direction: typically LevCharity → External CRM (one-way), though bidirectional sync may be available depending on your plan and configuration.
- Click Save.
What Gets Synced
- New donor records created in LevCharity are pushed to the external CRM.
- New donations (online and logged offline) are created as gift/transaction records.
- Updates to donor profiles (address, phone, email) can be synced based on your field mapping settings.
Troubleshooting Sync Issues
If records aren't syncing as expected:
- Check the Integration Log under Settings → Integrations — each sync attempt is logged with success or error details.
- Common errors include mismatched required fields (e.g., your external CRM requires a phone number, but LevCharity donors don't always provide one). Adjust your field mapping or mark the field as optional in the external CRM.
- If the integration disconnects (e.g., after a Salesforce password change), re-authenticate from Settings → Integrations.
