Creating a Ticketed Event

Set up ticket types, pricing, coupon codes, and capacity for an in-person or virtual ticketed event in LevCharity.

Creating a Ticketed Event

LevCharity supports two event types: RSVP (free registration) and Ticketed (paid entry with full ticket management). This guide covers Ticketed events.

Step 1: Create the Event

  1. Go to Events in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Create New Event.
  3. Choose Ticketed as the event type.
  4. Enter the event name, date, time, and location (or mark it as virtual).

Step 2: Configure Ticket Types

You can create multiple ticket types at different price points — for example, Individual, Couple, Table of 10, or VIP.

For each ticket type:

  • Set a name and price.
  • Set a quantity (stock limit for that ticket type).
  • Optionally write a description shown to buyers.

Smart Capacity: LevCharity uses smart capacity management. A "Table of 10" ticket counts 10 seats against your venue capacity, not 1. Set your total venue capacity under Event Settings, and LevCharity will prevent overselling even across mixed ticket types.

Step 3: Coupon Codes

  1. Under Tickets → Coupons, click Add Coupon.
  2. Set the code, discount type (percentage or fixed amount), and which ticket types it applies to.
  3. Optionally set a usage limit or expiry date.

Coupon codes are entered by attendees at checkout before payment.

Step 4: Custom Fields

Collect additional information from ticket buyers under Checkout → Custom Fields. Common uses: meal preferences, T-shirt size, or accessibility needs.

Step 5: Donation Form at Checkout

You can attach a donation form to the event checkout so ticket buyers have the option to add a donation when purchasing their ticket. Enable this under Checkout → Donation Form and select which donation form to use.

Step 6: Email Configuration

LevCharity auto-creates confirmation emails for your event. Review and customize them under Emails within the event editor. You can adjust the confirmation message, include fair market value (FMV) receipt details, and set up a reminder email before the event date.

Step 7: Publish the Event

When everything looks right, click Publish. Your event page is live at its URL, ready to accept registrations.

You can monitor registrations, revenue, and ticket inventory from the event's Dashboard tab at any time.
