Creating and Managing eCards

eCards are digital greeting cards that donors can purchase and send — either as a standalone act of generosity or as part of a donation. They work well for holiday campaigns, yahrzeit appeals, and year-round tribute giving.

Creating a New eCard Design

1. Go to eCards in the left sidebar.
2. Click Create New eCard.
3. Upload a card image (the visual design of the card itself).
4. Optionally add a header image and footer image for the email delivery wrapper.
5. Write default message text that donors can customize.
6. Set the card's color scheme to match your brand.
7. Assign the card to an Occasion Group (e.g., Holidays, Birthdays, Condolence) — this helps donors find the right card when browsing.

Pricing by Currency

If you raise funds in multiple currencies, you can set a different price for each:

1. Under Pricing, click Add Currency.
2. Set the amount for each currency (e.g., $18 USD, $25 CAD, ₪65 ILS).

This prevents awkward direct conversions and lets you set culturally appropriate price points per market.

Enabling Auto-Delivery on Donation

You can configure eCards to be automatically attached to donations on specific forms:

1. In your donation form editor, go to Add-ons → Tribute Cards.
2. Toggle on auto-delivery and select which eCard designs are available for that form.
3. After completing a donation, the donor is prompted to select and send a card.

Managing Sent eCards

All sent cards are logged in the eCards Log (accessible from the eCards sidebar section). From the log you can:

• View the card, sender, recipient, and send date.
• Edit the card message or recipient details.
• Reschedule delivery — useful if a donor wants the card to arrive on a specific date.
• Resend a card if the recipient didn't receive it.

CRM Sync

Every eCard transaction is synced to the CRM. The sender appears in the CRM as a donor, and the eCard appears in their activity history — giving you a full picture of their engagement beyond just cash donations.
